"LOVE... It is Screaming Your Name!"
It is the month of February, and LOVE seems to be emphasized and acknowledged heavily during this month. It is as if LOVE is a temporary, once-a-year event that takes place in one month: February. Love is much, much, much more than that. LOVE calls you and screams at you every second, every minute, every hour, every day, every week, every month throughout every year! LOVE is always demanding your attention.
Consider your personal thoughts about LOVE.
- Think of the characteristics of LOVE.
- Think about how LOVE should be displayed.
- Think about who should receive LOVE.
- Think about who should not receive LOVE (if you think this).
- Think about whether LOVE should demand anything from anyone...
I encourage you to hit pause. Or, better yet, I encourage you to stop reading. If you have time, consider each of the points above. If you do not have time, then that is even better. Come back to this blog in a few days or in a week after you have truly sat and pondered over what LOVE and how you believe love should look like by working through the list above.
Let us take a closer look at LOVE. It is not just a word. It should define who you are. Now, some of you may want to re-read that statement again. If you have never considered that LOVE should define you, well it should. Whatever you think, whatever you feel, whatever you say, whatever you do should reflect LOVE because all of the characteristics of LOVE does exist in you. The question may be for you to determine how much you are exercising and applying LOVE.
For some of you, you have been ignoring LOVE even though it has been screaming your names...for days, for weeks, for months, and for years. LOVE has been trying to get your attention. Why, you may ask? Because LOVE wants you to recognize and identify with it. LOVE lives in you and you should never ignore anything that describes who you, and what you should look like. If you did not know it, then I am so glad that you read this blog. You needed to be told and you needed to know that you are LOVE.
Now, consider how well you are thinking, feeling and acting like LOVE. Oops... I may have just stepped on your toes. I don't apologize that I stepped on your toes, but I will apologize that it may have hurt. If it hurt, that means that you really needed to hear the]at statement. If you identify yourself as LOVE (which you need to know that you are), exercise LOVE more often, and share LOVE with others more often. The statement that you are LOVE will not sting or hurt.
OK. Let us take the discussion of LOVE a little further. How would you define what LOVE is not? What is not LOVE? Just like before, I encourage you to stop right here to consider the question and take the time to define what LOVE is not. I also encourage you as you define this, to look at your definition to determine if you, yourself, do what you say LOVE is not.
You have been on a journey to see yourself through different lenses, especially if you have been reading these blogs since last year. That is a great thing! I have created these blogs to do exactly what it has been doing. No one should want to stay where they were. An infant does not remain an infant all their lives. They develop into an adult. Their thoughts mature. Their emotions are under control. Their actions and behaviors are no longer instinctive, but with intent and purpose. You are an adult with the characteristics of LOVE that was embedded in you before you even realized it. Your thoughts, your emotions and your actions should reflect the LOVE that is alive in you more often. Work on developing LOVE and allowing it to grow to maturity!
Hopefully, this message was encouraging and that you are smiling.
Until next month, know that I love you!
